Bali Adventures

Here are some of my favourite photos from Bali. Although the waves weren't as great as I would have hoped, the rest of the trip ended up being quite an amazing experience, Enjoy!

Sisters at the Orphanage
One of the boys trying on a girls shirt.
Showing off some of the new digs.

The school at the orphanage
Hard at work

Bringing a whole new meaning to multi-tasking

The children loved the camera
Not sure what this game was, but they were loving it.
I wanted to take her home, such a sweetheart

Making the daily offerings

On a field trip with the children to the rice fields.
Of course I am the one who ended up all dirty and lost my shoe in the mud.

The bridge at the Green School. One of the students from the orphanage has been sponsored to attend this special school. We took a tour of the facility and they were just constructing the PE grounds. I might be sending in my resume.
Most of the school is constructed of bamboo, from the walls to the furniture to the umbrella holders. Pretty amazing.
The living garden
Kindergarden at the Green school
Trimming the trees
A little bit of Bintang and peanuts on the beach
Dinner with a view
Lunch at the beach, luckily no sickness from here.
Outrigger boats

A couple of eager fishermen
Amy attempting a 900 page book. We kept it on hand to help us out in the event of our car getting stuck in the mud.
A CF of mopeds.

These kids were so so cute
A beer on the beach with my pals
The indonesian version of "peanuts, crackerjacks, here!"

Temples everywhere. Each business, household and family have their own place of giving offerings.
MONKEYS!

No need for a truck, a moped will do just fine
Rice fields
A little place we call "Mafias". We were lucky enough to be told that if a blue boat shows up, you better paddle in. If you don't paddle in, you might be run over by the boat (or beat up). His brother showed up and told us the boat wouldn't be there that day. Yikes. Good thing becuase it was the best day of surfing we got the entire trip.

The mafia.

Rain or shine
A bakery on the go
Morning wake up call.
The remains of the offerings
Putting out offerings at the front of a shop.
Lake Batur and Mt. Batur (the three volcanos in Northern Bali)
Another mobil bakery
A view from the top
Roadside fruit and art.
The Balinese are very talented.
Beautiful beach, possibly where I got Bali Belly
Sunday fun Balinese style

Modelling our new super cool shirts

The Legong dance.
